How to edit your wardrobe like a pro

How to edit your wardrobe like a pro

It’s easy to feel when spending all this time inside and away from people that this is the worst time to think about style and wardrobe editing but actually this is the perfect time to tackle it!

We’ll cover how to edit a wardrobe over the next few posts so that when the time comes to step out again, the perfect wardrobe is already there waiting.

Step 1. ๐Ÿ“ธ Take a picture before you start because before and after pictures are so motivating.
Step 2. ๐Ÿงฅ๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿ‘ Pull out the clothes, and dump them on the bed (if all of them is too overwhelming, do half or a quarter). They’ll need to be cleared before sleep can even be thought about.
Step 3. Take each item and ask Marie Kondo style do I love this? ๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿค”
Do you feel amazing in it or are you holding onto it because it reminds you of that someone special? If you’re umming over it, put it on and decide while you have it on; if you were trying this on in a store, would you buy it because you love it? If the answer is no, it’s time to say goodbye ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ’›
Step 4. ๐Ÿ‘กAsk if the item suits you and suits your unique style, your style personality. Is this item way out there for your style now, or does it follow in line with the patterns and themes you love? If yes, he may be a keeper but you have one more question to askโ€ฆ
Step 5. ๐Ÿ”ถHow much does this garment flatter your body shape? Do you notice the parts you want to hide? Or do you feel like your look is balanced and fantastic?
Step 6. ๐ŸŽจDoes this colour suit you? Is the colour of the item within the palette that suits your skin undertones, eye and hair colour? If you can answer yes to this too, this item is a keeper ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’›
Step 7. ๐ŸŽ‰Put back the clothing you’re keeping and put the clothing you’re discarding in a super in the way spot so you’ll get rid of them as soon as possible.

And with that you’re done! Comfortable with the knowledge that wardrobe is full of everything you love to wear!
