The styling process
First, we have a quick chat in a Style Discovery Call. We chat through what you would like to achieve and I suggest ways to get there.
If it makes sense to work together, I recommend which of my packages would suit you best. Once you have decided, I either add you to the waiting list or begin to book in your session times.
Next, you'll receive a questionnaire to provide some background on your style before we start. All questions are optional and you'll have a chance to share your budget, preferred stores and current style situation.
You won't need to explain your style preferences, body shape or current wardrobe before working with me - I make those conversations easy.
Depending on the package you choose, we meet first in the city or at your home. We work together through each element of your style package, to give you the power of style.
My styling is approachable, easy and non-elitist and I style you purely to your taste, rather than trends. Also, I don't have commission arrangements with stores.
There is no pressure or obligation to say goodbye to any of the clothes that you enjoy wearing.
Together we work through a collaborative process where your likes and dislikes are respected. At the end of the day style is incredibly personal, which is what we love about it. Whatever you leave in or take out of your wardrobe is your choice.
If you do want to give your clothes away, I can suggest where and how and in some packages, I'll do that for you.
The styling advice you receive makes it so much easier to make decisions, that's a huge benefit to working with me.

My clients usually tell me styling was more fun, enjoyable and approachable than they expected. Styling is no longer just for celebrities, perfect women and people who spend only on elite brands.
The four areas I use to personalise your style are your personality, work and lifestyle, body shape and colours.
If you'd rather not discuss these, shopping is a great option - we discuss all of this much less but you still walk away with clothes you love.
Style Gorgeous is tailored for women. This specialist approach means I can keep our knowledge of stores, stock and trends current for you, without being spread too thin. I love serving women and that's my specialty.
Most other stylists include male styling in their offering, even if it's not obvious on the front page, so it could be worth having a look around.
Styling options
Yes! We offer a lovely gift voucher, which you can have tailored for your partner, daughter, colleague or whoever you have in mind. Available by emailing directly.
Absolutely. We can discuss your particular preferences on your Style Discovery Call.
Yes, absolutely. Together we'll create a list of the pieces you need and we'll help you find them. Your capsule might be for travel, work or life in general. Your Style Essentials will help identify the pieces you need and together we can take it from there.
Or if you have already done some thinking and exploring, we can work together to fill in the gaps.
Yes, absolutely. Whether you are looking for mother-of-the-bride, bridesmaids, graduation, formal events or ceremonies, I can style your complete outfit from head to toe. I usually do some research in the stores for you first to save you some time and ensure a great result.
I do offer shopping sessions in which I don't do your colour analysis or establish your Figure Finesse Body Shape Strategy™️ or Style Essence Keywords.

Yes, we can certainly explore this possibility.
Most of my clients are virtual or within a 25-minute radius of Wellington CBD. Beyond that I include a travel fee to cover driving time, at half my hourly rate.
Clients who fly in to work with me usually arrange their styling over one afternoon or a full day and bring an empty suitcase 🙂
Styling tools
Absolutely! I keep a digital copy of your Style Passport so that I can always re-print it for you if needed. There is a cost to have the Style Passport re-printed and sent to you within Australia or New Zealand, which is $59 AUD or NZD.
All clients who purchase a styling package receive a digital swatch of their ideal colours - this is a single image of the full range of colours in your palette.
A physical swatch is a great asset, because screens can make colours cooler and brighter than they should be. Personal Stylists and Image Consultants work with specialist companies that create swatches in exactly the right tones and shades because standard printing is unreliable for colours.
I can arrange to have your colour swatch sent to your home, or give it to you if we meet together in person. The cost is generally between $55 and $95 dollars AUD or NZD depending on the speed of postage and the currency exchange rate.
Remote styling from Wellington
I work in New Zealand time, Monday to Saturday, 10am til 6pm with occasional availability after hours.
Yes! Absolutely. I have served clients in the USA, UK and Australia and across New Zealand with virtual styling. The process I use is specifically designed for virtual sessions. Everything can be done over video, email and using apps you are familiar with on your smartphone (I will check what you're familiar with and tailor accordingly) - and that includes colour analysis! My remote-first colour analysis is hyper precise and more accurate than traditional methods.
I work from Wellington, New Zealand and across Saturdays so check for availability that may suit you.
Payments
I am quite deliberate about not having any financial arrangements with stores because I want to ensure that you get the best choices to suit you. I don't want my choices for you to be influenced by commission or convenience. That said, if that changes between writing this and when we speak, I will pass any commission or discounts onto you directly.
I discover your particular tastes, budget and anything else that is important to you in where you shop. I start with what you need and will go anywhere for you to find those pieces. If you have favourites, I can also include those stores.
The cost of clothes is not included in your investment.
Once we have talked about creating your Style Gorgeous experience, you will be invoiced through Xero or PayPal. If you are in New Zealand you'll be able to transfer your funds to a bank account.
If you are outside New Zealand, you'll be able to pay via PayPal.
