Do you work virtually?
Yes! Absolutely. I have served clients in the USA and Australia with virtual styling. The styling process I use works perfectly in virtual sessions. Everything can be done over video, email and using apps you are familiar with on your smartphone (I will check what you’re familiar with and tailor accordingly).
My studio is in Wellington, New Zealand (GMT+12) and I work across days and times so that we can find a time that suits.

Do we have to buy from particular stores?
I choose shops based on what you need – it’s a completely unique approach every time, to suit your particular situation.
Through your Style Essentials session and the other work we do together, I discover your particular tastes, budget and what is important to you. I start with what you need and will go anywhere for you to find those pieces.
I do not currently make use of any discount arrangements with stores.
Will I need to say goodbye to clothes I like?
There is no pressure or obligation to give away any of the clothes that you enjoy wearing.
Together we work through a collaborative process where I respect your likes and dislikes. Often you’ll develop a greater understanding of the ‘why’ behind your likes and dislikes. At the end of the day style is incredibly personal, which is what I love about it. Everything you leave in your wardrobe and edit out is your choice.
Can you help me create a capsule wardrobe?
Yes, absolutely. Together we’ll create a list of the pieces you need and I’ll show you where we can find them. Your capsule might be for travel, work or for life in general.
I use your Style Essentials to help you choose your colours and pieces. I can be involved as much or as little as you like so if you have already done some thinking and exploring, we can work together to fill in the gaps. Or if you don’t know where to start I can show you how to build your capsule.
How does the styling process work?
First, we have a quick chat to help you get some insights into your style situation.
If it makes sense to work together, we talk about what you would like to achieve and I recommend which of my packages would suit you best. Once you have decided, we book in your session times to ensure you get your best times.
Your first (Style Essentials) session is a minimum of one hour. Clients often choose for this to be at their home so we have access to their collection.
The Style Passport package is usually one session and swapping a few emails and photographs between us, which happens over approximately four weeks.
The Style Satchel package is usually done over three or four sessions, which might happen virtually or in person at your home, at the shops or between the two places. We will usually book in your sessions over approximately four to eight weeks.
Is the cost of clothes included in the style packages?
The cost of clothes is not included in your investment. This is due to the significant individual variation in how much people like to spend.
How are payments made?
Once we have talked about creating your Style Gorgeous experience, I will invoice you through Xero or PayPal.
If you are in New Zealand or Australia you’ll be able to transfer your funds to a bank account. If you are outside Australia or New Zealand, you’ll be able to pay into my PayPal account.
Do you have gift vouchers?
Yes! I offer a lovely gift voucher, which you can have tailored for your partner, daughter, colleague or whoever you have in mind.
Do you guarantee that I will achieve the results you talk about?
My guarantee is that I will work with you until I have done everything I can imagine to help you get the results you are looking for. I want all my clients to have a gorgeous experience that gets results.
One thing I have noticed is that sometimes a woman has tightened the reins on their decisions so tightly that she has left herself very little room to move. This can sometimes translate into real difficulty making decisions.
If you think you might have difficulty making decisions even with clear advice, then I recommend you purchase the lower-priced package and see if styling is for you. In the process you will receive rules if you want them or a framework for decision-making if you prefer. I look forward to working with you.
Is there anything about the styling process that I might find challenging?
The process of styling is a lot of fun if you are keen to make a change to your look.
Together we review your best colours. You may discover that your wardrobe does not contain any of your best colours. Would you be ok with discovering that information?
Your body shape strategy is key to dressing your figure in a way that is flattering. Would you be ok with me taking some simple measurements and telling you your body shape?
Tapping into personal differences is how you can take your style from average to amazing. In the Style Satchel package you will have the opportunity to create a powerful personal style that truly links with your unique personality. It’s an exciting process – the icing on the cake to creating style that takes you places. Would you be ok to respond to a few ideas that help you think about your personality and how you want to express that in clothes? This aspect takes your results to great new heights. If you aren’t particularly interested in linking your clothes with your personality, you will be really comfortable with the Style Passport package.
Can you help me with special occasion wear?
Yes, absolutely. Whether it’s mother-of-the-bride, graduation, formal events or ceremonies, I can style your complete outfit for you from your shoes to your accessories.

Is it possible to arrange in-person styling outside of Wellington?
Yes, we can certainly discuss.
Most of my clients are virtual or within a 25-minute radius of Wellington CBD. Beyond that I include a travel fee to cover my time in the car however this is usually not my full hourly rate.
Sometimes clients who live further afar like to ‘squish’ their styling into one afternoon or full day, which can work beautifully if that is something you are open to. I look forward to styling you.
I lost my Style Passport, could I receive a replacement?
Absolutely! I keep a digital copy of your Style Passport so that we can always re-print it for you if needed. There is a cost to have the Style Passport re-printed, which is $120 AUD or NZD.
